Varia VS3 38mm Conical Burr Sets The Varia VS3 can be upgraded with multiple different sets of conical burrs, each of which improves heat resistance and durability when compared to the stock Supernovas that come installed on the grinder which have an *HRC58 hardness rating. Each set features a titanium coating also that provides an increase in durability and heat resistance—because the burrs stay cooler while grinding, they’ll stay sharper longer. Though the smooth surface on the cutting edge created by the titanium coating does slow the grinding process down somewhat, the result is an overall more consistent grind.
