🇺🇸 United StatesRegion | Quindío, Colombia What we taste | Grapefruit, Earl Grey, Dark Chocolate Varietal | Pink Bourbon We are excited to announce the release of this Colombia Pink Bourbon by Sebastian Ramirez. Farmers like Sebastian Ramirez inspire Maiden to seek out partnerships with producers who are equally dedicated to quality and excellence. Grown at 1744 MASL, this lot brings notes of Grapefruit, Earl Grey, and Dark Chocolate. Sebastian is a big fan of Pink Bourbon, and this washed process is one of the cleanest and most balanced in his portfolio. This coffee undergoes no cherry fermentation; the cherries are depulped immediately after harvesting and fermented for 24 to 36 hours before being washed and dried. Sebastian’s farm operates as a processing facility, where he oversees cherry selection, sourcing, and the development of unique flavor profiles. Once a large coffee estate in Quindío, it now focuses on specialty production and processing, with plans to cultivate exclusive varietals such as Geisha and Pink Bourbon. Sustainability is at the heart of Fincas El Placer’s approach, with minimal to no water processing methods and farming practices that naturally manage pests and weeds while reducing pesticide use. They also share these techniques with local producers to help improve coffee quality and sustainability. We’re excited to share this release with you and hope you taste the originality, dedication, and creativity that Sebastian brings to every cup.
