Your Stock Basket Is Holding Your Shots Back. Most espresso machines ship with baskets that are built to a price, not a standard. Switching to a precision basket is one of the highest-impact upgrades you can make — better water distribution through the puck, more even extraction, and noticeably cleaner flavor in the cup. These Italian-crafted portafilter baskets are engineered for uniform grounds distribution and consistent flow. Fine mesh filtration keeps grounds out of the cup, and the range of sizes and capacities means there’s a basket to match your machine and your dose.
