Details Brew Method Tasting Notes: Fresh Earth & Cocoa Roast Level: Dark A dark roast doesn't need to mean bitter, burned, or carbon ash. The goal of our roasting has always been balance. Dark Sumatra produces a rich and robust cup, and is our answer to those seeking a beautifully done dark roast. Produced in the Lintongnihuta region on the southern shores of Lake Toba in Sumatra, Indonesia, this coffee carries the quality of the Batak people. Dark Sumatra is bold and rich with a naturally rich body and viscosity. It is diligently harvested by triple-picking the ripest fruit before sun-drying in small batches to concentrate the rich flavors of the region. Sumatra really shines in a French press, where the heavy body is accentuated to its fullest. It also makes a beautiful cup in all drip methods too.
