Factor 33M 233M / 233MA Design / Engineering Improvements Older design, “standard” Mazzer flat burrs. Updated version — refined cutting geometry, possibly tighter tolerances. Mazzer claims the 233M are “a big improvement on the 33M blades.” Grind Speed / Efficiency Good speed & performance, but maybe slightly less efficient than 233M under the same conditions. Users report that 233M grind a bit “faster / more cleanly” (less heat buildup, cleaner cuts). Particle Distribution / Grind Quality Solid and acceptable for many uses; may have more fines / more variation at finer espresso settings compared to the newer set. Reports suggest 233M have better consistency (fewer fines, more uniform particle size), which helps with shots, probably due to updated geometry or sharper edge.
