It should be smooth bore. Your burr will be held on with a nut or flywing nut. If you do not see something on top of the burr to hold it on, then this burr will NOT fit your grinder. If you see threads, then you need the M2 part # SP0101069 found here: M2 Burr Pay NO Sales Tax! (Except Louisiana customers) Genuine Baratza Part Cone Burr for Encore ESP grinders Only. Replacing the ring burr at the same time is also recommended. Sold Here Since the M2 cone burr is made of hardened steel, it may tarnish / rust slightly in storage or shipping. This will not have a negative impact on the performance of the burr. Simply wipe off the tarnish / rust with cooking oil to remove as much as possible.
