Variable temperature control to the degree. Gooseneck spout. WiFi-updatable. 1200W heating. The Stagg EKG Pro is the kettle that most specialty brewers end up owning. There are reasons for that. The gooseneck spout is shaped to release water at a controlled, even rate. The temperature holds to the degree you set, and holds it while you pour. The base talks to the kettle through a ring of contacts, not a single post, so the kettle goes on straight every time. What the Pro model adds over the standard EKG is a larger full-color LCD screen, brew scheduling, a programmable hold mode from 15 to 60 minutes, Guide Mode presets for different brew methods and teas, altitude adjustment, a built-in timer, and WiFi updates through Fellow's updater app. New features arrive over time without you buying new hardware. The body is 304 18/8 stainless steel. The handle and lid pull are BPA-free plastic, with walnut or maple wood upgrades available on certain colors. Capacity is 30 ounces, which is the volume most pour-overs fall inside of: enough for a two-cup V60, enough for a Chemex, not so much that preheating takes forever. Water temperature is one of the variables most brewers underweight. The Stagg makes it the easiest one to get right. We stock the Stagg EKG Pro because every brew guide our roasters walk subscribers through in the portal assumes a specific water temperature. 200°F for a washed coffee, 195°F for a lighter roast, 205°F for darker natural-processed lots. A kettle that lets you dial in that number and hold it is how those guides actually translate to the cup you drink. What the Pro adds. To-the-degree temperature control — Set your target temperature anywhere from 104°F to 212°F in 0.5°F increments. The kettle heats to that number and holds it while you pour. 1200W heating — From room temperature to 200°F in under four minutes for a half-filled kettle. Quick enough that brew prep doesn't bottleneck on waiting for water. Gooseneck pour spout — Designed for slow, even saturation. The spout geometry gives you a thin, controlled stream that stays steady through small wrist movements. Hold mode — Keep water at your set temperature for 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Useful for a second cup or a brew session that spans a morning. Brew scheduling — Schedule the kettle to reach a specific temperature at a specific time. Wake up to water that's already at 205°F. Guide Mode — Preset temperatures for pour-over, French press, and different styles of tea. A starting point if you don't already know what temperature to pick. Full-color LCD screen — High-resolution display showing temperature, timer, and mode at a glance. Readable from across a kitchen. Built-in brew timer — Run a stopwatch alongside your brew without picking up your phone. Altitude adjustment — Water boils at a lower temperature at elevation. Tell the kettle where you are and it adjusts so it doesn't boil over or stop short. WiFi firmware updates — Connect the kettle to WiFi through the EKG Updater app and new features arrive over time. The hardware you buy today keeps improving. Adjustable chime, F or C, analog or digital clock — Small settings that let the kettle fit into the kitchen it lives in, not the other way around. How it works: How you actually use it. Fill the kettle with cold, filtered water. Place it on the base. Turn the dial to set your target temperature, or press the top of the dial to cycle into Guide Mode or scheduling. Press the dial to confirm. The kettle heats to temperature and chimes when it arrives. Lift the kettle off the base to pour. The display stays on the kettle, so you can watch the temperature as you work. When you set it back on the base, the hold timer takes over and keeps the water at temperature for as long as you configured. Who it's for: Who the Stagg EKG Pro is for. The Pro is for pour-over brewers who want precise temperature control without a learning curve, and for anyone who brews more than one style of coffee or tea and wants the kett
