About this item Quiet coffee making: Many baristas will evenly distribute the coffee powder by tapping the portafilter on the countertop when making espresso. This tapping can easily damage the countertop and disturb family members. This tamper mat can absorb the noise generated by tapping and make espresso quietly. Protecting the coffee countertop and portafilter: When making espresso, baristas will use force to compact the coffee powder in the filter, evenly distributing the powder in the bowl. This pressure can easily damage the countertop, leaving dents that are difficult to restore. This espresso mat can absorb pressure and protect the countertop. Food grade ingredients: Our factory uses food grade silicone to make this coffee mat. Although it may not feel as smooth as PVC to the touch, and coffee powder cannot be wiped clean by hand or cloth, it needs to be rinsed with water. However, this ingredient can come into direct contact with food without damaging your body. Easy to clean: When using a espresso tamper to press coffee, the coffee powder can easily spill onto the mat. Do not wipe it directly with your hands or cloth, just rinse it with water and dry it with a clean cloth. The clean mat will come back. Anti slip design: When the barista compacts coffee powder, the filter and countertop are prone to sliding, and both the barista and countertop are prone to injury. This mat has an anti slip design, tightly fitting onto the countertop to protect the barista and countertop.
