PRO TIPS Extreme care should be taken on installation, the stud can snap off inside the boiler if over-tightened, and it doesn't need to thread in flush; slightly past hand-tight is sufficient. Apply thermal paste to the sensing head before clamping it down so it accurately reads boiler temperature instead of lagging, especially important on pipe-mount installations. The grease should never be used as an adhesive.
