This beautiful washed Ethiopian offers elegant notes of florals and tea, paired with a whole lot of fruity ones, particularly of orange stone fruit and red berries or currant. It is a new addition to our range, sourced from the same people who brought the natural Buku Abel to us. Once the coffee cherries, which are harvested by smallholder producers in the area, arrive at the washing station, they are floated to sort out defects and pulped. A dry fermentation step follows, which takes about four days, before the coffee is washed to remove mucilage. Finally, it is dried for some two weeks on raised beds.
The catalog often lists the same model at several merchants — worth a price check before you buy.
