PRO TIPS Chrome plating thickness on the spout threads varies piece to piece, so a spout that won't thread on easily isn't necessarily defective, a wrench and firm, steady twist usually gets it started, and in stubborn cases clamping the spout in a bench vise and turning the handle works. If the spout threads on too far and sits loose, that's a sign it needs a gasket between the spout and portafilter face to take up the extra thread depth.
