Our Guatemalan Antigua arabica coffee offers that classical south American flavor profile: smooth and mellow taste with chocolatey notes and hints of nuts. The chocolate flavors can range from bittersweet cocoa to a sweeter milk chocolate. It's known for having a medium to full body, and a bright and pleasant acidity. Coffees grown in the high-altitude Antigua region will also have a floral, citrusy aroma. The high quality beans produced at high altitudes makes it a key producer world-wide, and ranks as the 10th largest producer globally. We especially recommend this coffee as a medium roast to preserve all the unique fruity characteristics, though it develops well as a dark roast. A nice slow brewing process using a pour over, french press or cold brew will really bring out all the great flavors. Also available: Guatemalan Fair Trade Organic Coffee. Starbucks often carries coffee from the Antigua region in Guatemala.
