The bottomless design allows for a full view of the espresso extraction process, helping you achieve greater consistency in your shots. It also enhances crema formation as there is no additional contact with spouts, allowing the espresso to flow directly from the basket. Please Note Switching to a new portafilter may require adjustments to your grind size, dosage, or overall preparation technique. It is common to see channeling or spurting at first, and this is not a flaw in the portafilter. It simply highlights areas where your preparation can be refined, such as grind size, tamping, or distribution.
