Prior to first use, rinse the interior of each chamber with cool, clean water. Filter Exterior Mineral content in untreated water may cause mineral buildup along the hybrid ceramic shell protecting your filter. While this does not impact the water filtration process or water quality, you can clean the filter’s exterior if desired. Exercise special care when removing the filter from the upper chamber. Scrub the filter’s exterior with a scour pad and clean water—without soap—then rinse thoroughly and replace in the upper chamber. Changing the filters When you begin to notice a drastic change in water flow rate, it’s time to replace your Alexapure Pro® Water Filtration System’s filter. Make sure to change your filter regularly to ensure your system is performing optimally. **Chlorine reduction claims are not performance tested beyond 200 gallons. Additional performance claims are based on independent laboratory and manufacturer’s internal test data. Actual performance is dependent on influent water quality, flow rates, system design, and application. Results may vary. This system has been tested for the reduction of the substances listed in the product test data sheets. The concentration of the indicated substances in water entering the system was reduced to a concentration less than equal to the permissible limit for water leaving the system, as specified in NSF/ANSI 53.
