ABOUT THIS COFFEE This certified organic coffee from Papua's Highlands comes from some of the best preserved true Arabica Typica genetics, grown in some of the most virgin and fertile soil in the world. Although most of Papua New Guinea's coffee is grown organically, this is one of the few to be certified organic. Goroka, the capital of the Eastern Highlands Province, is known for its expert coffee growers who have perfected their craft. Everything is done by hand, from the picking of the cherries to the small hand powered pulping mill that is used to process this coffee. Doing everything by hand gives these skilled craftsmen (and women), ample time for quality controls and removing any defective cherries and beans. The result of their generations of hard work and the preserving of their delicate arabica genetics is a fantastic world class specialty coffee export.
